Come with me as we bust some myths about balance and talk about how balance is about being present with where you are, is a verb that you are doing, is an art with lots of gray and how your ability to balance in no way determines your worth, your success or makes you better or worse than anyone else.
**Here is the big news I promised in the podcast that didn’t get edited in (I’m so grateful that this podcast is built for imperfection, lol!!). I've written a book. An E-book. It's uncharted territory for me but I'm leaning into what Father has told me to…so here we go. The book is called Ministering Through Connection. You can get a free copy by clicking on the E BOOK tab and by clicking on the download button. You’ll get the Intro and Chapter 1, Chapter 2 will come out next Tuesday.

I think balance is an ideal. And perhaps a false idea. I think balance is required for a healthy life I think of it as 4 legs on a chair your chair(life)is not going to be very stable if the chair legs are not the same height. So I think the idea of the concept is we need to devote equal time to each staple in our life. But the reality is that really isn't practical or possible. I think life is more about prioritizing than balance. And if one constantly prioritizes one thing over other aspects of their life they become inbalanced. Which does affect the harmony of ones life.

I really like the idea of prioritizing! It gives space to a time and season in one's life as well as the space to have priorities shift as different circumstances shift. The key is to be able to have the awareness and mindfulness to be able to identify the time and season as well as what may need to be adapted according to circumstance. Good insight, Mariann!! Very helpful to bring to the scene!
